Joëlle Dong is an actor and writer who grew up between a two-stoplight town on Puget Sound and Palo Alto, California. Moving between communities with starkly different value sets sparked her fascination with how the worlds we inhabit shape identity, intimacy, and imagination. She graduated early from Brown University with Honors in Comparative Literature.
As an actor, she is drawn to projects that bring grounded realism to heightened worlds. She especially loves roles that live at the intersection of tenderness and danger. Her writing carries a similar undercurrent, often exploring how larger systems shape private lives and everyday intimacies.
